So now you have a date for your Immigration Interview, that’s great news! But first, there are a couple of things you should do before attending your interview. You must schedule an appointment to collect your biometric data and another one for a medical examination at one of the authorized clinics.

Before you can schedule an appointment at the Applicant Service Center (CAS) in CD Juarez to have your fingerprints and photographs taken, you must have first correctly completed the DS-160 visa form and have paid the MRV fee. Once the payment is made, you can access the Visa Appointment and Information System site (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/) to schedule your visit to the CAS to register your biometric information. You must do this for each of the applicants, including children. The appointment at the CAS must be scheduled at least one (1) day in advance of the consular appointment.

Immigration Interview  : the day of the appointment

On the day of the appointment with the CAS, applicants must arrive 15 minutes in advance and must present the following documents: valid passport, confirmation sheet of the DS-160 format, and printed CAS appointment confirmation sheet.

Also, the applicant must schedule an appointment for their medical examination at one of the authorized clinics at least two (2) days prior to their visa interview appointment if they are 15 years of age or older, and at least four (4) days prior to their visa interview appointment if the applicant is under 15 years of age.

The cost of the medical exam is $272.60 USD / $4,688.72 MXN for adults over 15 years of age. For minors from 2 to 14 years, the cost of the exam is $223.88 USD / $3.837,30 MXN. For infants from 0 to 2 years old the cost is $174.00 USD / $2.982,36 MXN. Vaccination fees are charged separately, depending on the vaccines needed.

Payment is made directly at the clinic and can be made by cash (Mexican pesos or American dollars) or debit or credit card (Visa/MasterCard).

These are the documents you need to bring to your medical exam:

  • Visa interview appointment letter,
  • Valid passport,
  • A photocopy of vaccination record or proof of vaccination issued by an authorized health institution,
  • Official COVID-19 vaccination certificate,
  • Medical file if you are undergoing any medical treatment.
